My name is Alistair Lattimore and I’m a married thirty something year old coffee addicted atypical geek living on the sunny Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
In a former life, I worked within the IT group for a major tourism company where I wore a few different hats. On a daily basis, you’d most likely have found me buried within something related to Microsoft .NET, SQL Server or Oracle.
I’ve always been fascinated with the internet from when I first laid my eyes on it back in the late 1990′s and since then it has been a very large part of my life. I took on a new challenge within the tourism company I work for and help start a digital marketing department to give the company a clear focus on the companies online business. Over the last couple of years, we’ve had incredible success and I’ve now taken up yet another challenge and joined a newly formed ecommerce department.
When I’m not at work, you’re more than likely going to find me:
- spending time with my wife
- playing with my two beautiful kids, Hugo & Evie
- listening to music
- watching movies
- playing squash
- watching some sort of sport
- enjoying good food and company
By night, I like to explore things that the day job doesn’t really permit for. As you’re likely going to find out, that exploration has lead me to the Python programming language and the Django web framework.
